Louis Schonauer - Freshman Assistant

Louie Schonauer begins his fourth year as our freshman assistant coach.   Many of us remember Louie as the shooting guard on the 2009 team that finished 29-5 but couldn’t quite get by eventual back-to-back state champions, Champaign Centennial. Few players in the history of LCHS shot the ball as well as Louie.  In his four-year career he scored 714 points, was 53% from the field, and shot an amazing 49% from the 3 point line. Louie excelled at the college level as well.  He went on to start for the Lincoln College Lynx, a team that won back-to-back national titles in 2010 and 2011.   After graduating from Lincoln College, Schonauer finished his playing career at Nova Southeastern University, a Division II school in Florida, and graduated there with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Recreation.  Currently, Louie resides in Lincoln and works for Midwest Technical Institute in East Peoria.
